Latest Chapter News
Message from Carri Miller, CFCM, Chapter President -

Over the last few months the chapter has promoted the Certified Federal Contracts Manager study group.  We had a great response to the study group.  I’m very pleased to announce we have 6 new CFCM professionals in our chapter.  Our chapter sends a heartfelt note of thanks to Ms. Janice James and our chapter members who presented at the chapter study group meetings.  This is an excellent example of the services that the Dayton Chapter provides to our local members. In addition to their certifications, the Dayton chapter will reimburse the test fee for each member.  This is one of the many benefits of being a chapter member.

The chapter is putting the final details together for the 2012 National Education Seminar (NES).  This year we will host the 100 Worst Mistakes in Government Contracting. This course has been rated as one of the top NESs for 2011.  More information to follow, but the seminar will provide 8 hours of continuing education and is scheduled at the ATIC center in Beavercreek.  Watch DaytonNCMA.org for more information.  Sponsorship opportunities are still available for this event.

The chapter needs your help in increasing attendance at our events and our membership base.  Please contact a chapter officer today to provide your suggestions and/or comments on what we are currently offering and ideas/events we can offer in the future.   Our goal is to serve the contracting professionals in the Dayton, Ohio area.  Tell us how we can better serve our community!  Chapter Board Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at the Woolpert facility from 4:30-6pm.  Please contact a board member if you are interested in attending.  These are open to all chapter members.

I look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event!
